The integrated rail system includes passenger transport activities in Germany, rail freight transport activities, the operating service units, and the rail infrastructure companies in Germany. DB Group is organized as a state-owned private joint-stock company.
Faiveley Transport is an international manufacturer and equipment-supplier for the railway industry. The product portfolio includes air conditioning, electromechanics, doors, electronics, and brakes for rail vehicles. The company is fully integrated into the US railway group Wabtec.
Hitachi Rail is a fully integrated, global provider of rail solutions across rolling stock, signaling, service & maintenance, digital technology and turnkey solutions. The Group’s mission is to contribute to the sustainable development of society through advanced solutions for rail transport. Knorr-Bremse, headquartered in Munich, Germany, is the world market leader for braking systems and a leading supplier of safety-critical subsystems for rail and commercial vehicles.
Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS) is a Dutch company and the principal national passenger railway operator. NS provides rail services on the Dutch main rail network. The company operates as a legally independent, state-owned joint stock company.
Norske tog AS is a Norwegian state-owned company and a leading specialist environment within purchasing and management of passenger rolling stock. The company owns ~90% of the passenger railway vehicles for leasing to railway operators in Norway.
Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS) is the national railway company of Switzerland, headquartered in Bern. The company is divided in the corporate divisions of passenger transport, cargo, infrastructure and real estate.
Siemens Mobility is a separately managed company of Siemens AG. As a leader in transport solutions for more than 160 years, Siemens Mobility is constantly innovating its portfolio in its core areas of rolling stock, rail automation and electrification, turnkey systems as well as related services.
Stadler is a worldwide operating Swiss railway solutions provider. Its comprehensive portfolio includes innovative and sustainable solutions in the fields of rolling stock (high-speed trains, intercity trains, regional and suburban trains, metros, tramways and trams, mainline locomotives, shunting locomotives and passenger carriages), signalling and services. Stadler is also the world’s leading manufacturer in the rack-and-pinion rail vehicle industry.
Trenitalia is the primary train operator in Italy and a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, itself owned by the Italian government. Trenitalia offers national rail transport, regional as well as long-distance trains in Italy and international connections.
