Introduction to RTR
Multiple trends are influencing the railway ecosystem which are further being amplified by a market environment that is continuously changing.
RTR and its member firms have joined their complementary forces to tackle today’s challenges by simplifying how rolling stock is procured. Thereby, RTR is among the few instances where operators and suppliers are working together on content level.
Main characteristics of RTR are:
- Unique organization for both – operators and suppliers – to the benefit of the entire sector
- RTR focuses on the development of specific deliverables which can be applied along the railway procurement processes (solution-oriented approach)
- RTR is based on a well-practiced and experienced team as well as efficient and structured work processes
Everyone can benefit from the Initiative’s results – operators, (sub-)suppliers, passengers & public transport authorities
